Dr. Jennifer Heintz, LPC

She/Her/Hers

I am a Doctor of Psychology and a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am a pet parent to three cats and enjoy searching for opportunities to grow and challenge myself. I enjoy helping others set goals and enhance their ability to strive towards and accomplish a happier and healthier life.

Providing services in the state of Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Specialities

I help adults improve their mental health, particularly those grappling with issues such as substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and trauma, especially for women. Substance misuse often stems from a place of pain, and therapy can provide a compassionate space to untangle these complexities. I specialize in providing strategies to manage anxiety, helping you regain control over your thoughts and emotions.

Similarly, for those dealing with trauma, I provide a safe environment to process these experiences, fostering resilience and healing. In addition to substance abuse, anxiety, and trauma, depression is another mental health condition that we can effectively address. Depression often leaves you feeling isolated and hopeless, but together we can illuminate a pathway towards relief and recovery.

You will comprehend the roots of your depressive thoughts and feelings and become equipped with coping mechanisms to manage your symptoms. The aim is to not only alleviate the present distress but also to empower you to lead a more fulfilled and content life, thereby improving your overall mental health.

Our Work Together

During our work together you can expect a comprehensive, individualized approach to care. We will gain an in-depth understanding of your unique concerns, life experiences, and treatment goals. You will be able to share your struggles and feelings in a safe, non-judgmental space.

Throughout the therapeutic journey, I will use evidence-based interventions tailored to your needs. This may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, 12-step facilitation, Exposure Therapy, Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction, and other trauma-informed interventions. Together we will work on healthier coping mechanisms, improve emotional regulation, and build resilience. The therapy process will be a collaborative one, with regular discussions about your progress and any adjustments needed in the treatment plan. Ultimately, you will be empowered to lead a healthier, more fulfilling life, free from the debilitating effects of your mental health concerns.

Embarking on the journey of healing is a powerful step towards reclaiming control over your life. If you, or a loved one, are struggling with substance abuse, anxiety, depression, or trauma, don’t hesitate to reach out. Together, we can navigate the path towards wellness, fostering resilience, and nurturing self-compassion. Take the first step towards a healthier, happier life today; complete a consultation to start your therapeutic journey. I am here for you, ready to listen, support, and guide you through every step of the way.
