Yes. We accept a wide range of insurance plans to make mental health care accessible and affordable. We proudly accept Tricare East / Humana Military for veterans, active duty service members, and military families, as well as Medicaid, Medicare, and most major commercial insurance plans (e.g. Aetna, Cigna/Evernorth Behavioral Health, UnitedHealthcare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield, etc.) depending on the state.
Our team will verify your benefits, explain your coverage, and help you understand any copays or deductibles before beginning services. We strive to make the process simple so you can focus on your well-being—not the paperwork.

Yes. Introspection Counseling Center offers in-person counseling services at our Wilmington, Delaware office. This option is ideal for clients—including veterans, active duty service members, and military families—who prefer face-to-face support for concerns such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, couples counseling needs, and deployment-related stress.
For added flexibility, we also provide telehealth therapy in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, and New Jersey, allowing clients to receive consistent care no matter where military service or life transitions may take them.
Yes, it is! Utilizing online counseling, also known as, telehealth, telemedicine, or telemental health, via video conferencing provides the same beneficial results in meeting your unique mental health needs as in-person sessions. In fact, several research studies support this claim. Like to know more? Check this peer reviewed study out.
According to the American Psychological Association, “on average 15 to 20 sessions are required for 50 percent of patients to recover as indicated by self-reported symptom measures”. Additionally, they state that through the working relationship between the client and counselor sometimes the preference is for “longer periods (e.g., 20 to 30 sessions over six months), to achieve more complete symptom remission and to feel confident in the skills needed to maintain treatment gains”.
So, it depends on several factors because everyone has unique counseling goals. Like any other relationship, it takes time to develop a therapeutic relationship with your counselor and identify your treatment goals, establish a plan of action, and work towards accomplishing them. Whatever your number of sessions will be, we will work together to meet your needs.
Yes, we offer medication management. Medication management is a critical component of comprehensive mental health care, particularly for individuals with conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other psychiatric disorders. When combined with therapy and lifestyle adjustments, medication can significantly improve mental health outcomes. However, effective medication management is essential to ensure that medications are used safely, effectively, and in a way that enhances overall well-being.
At Introspection Counseling Center, a veteran-owned mental health practice, we provide trauma-informed therapy and medication management tailored to the unique experiences of military life. Our services address PTSD, depression, anxiety, deployment stress, reintegration challenges, and transition to civilian life, as well as relationship and family concerns. Therapy is available via telehealth in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, and New Jersey, and in-person in Delaware, with medication management available both in person and virtually for Delaware residents.
Yes. Introspection Counseling Center is now a certified Tricare East / Humana Military provider. This allows veterans, active duty personnel, and military families to access high-quality mental health care with minimal barriers. We verify benefits, explain coverage, and help you begin services quickly—whether you’re seeking PTSD treatment, couples counseling, depression support, or general military mental health services.
Absolutely. We offer secure telehealth therapy in five states—Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, and New Jersey—making it easier for military spouses and children to receive consistent support even during PCS moves or deployments. Telehealth is ideal for families managing frequent relocations, unpredictable schedules, or limited access to in-person mental health resources.
Military relationships often face unique pressures, including deployment cycles, reintegration adjustments, communication challenges, and stress related to frequent relocations. Couples counseling can help partners reconnect, improve communication, build trust, and navigate emotional challenges linked to military service. Our therapists understand the complexities of military culture and provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space for healing and growth.
