Lisa Ecret, M.S.
She/Her
Hello, I’m Lisa Ecret, a graduate-level counseling intern at Introspection Counseling Center currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Irvine’s Townsend Institute. With over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and now transitioning into the field of mental health, I bring a unique blend of professionalism, compassion, and lived experience to my work as a therapist-in-training.
At my core, I’m someone who truly believes in the power of healing and personal transformation. As someone who has walked through my own life challenges, I know what it means to feel stuck or uncertain—and I know how meaningful it is to have a safe space where you can be heard, supported, and empowered. I strive to create exactly that kind of space for my clients. Whether you are navigating life transitions, working through childhood trauma, or struggling with self-doubt, stress, or relationship issues, I’m here to walk alongside you as a compassionate listener and a steady guide.
Faith plays a foundational role in my life, and for clients who desire a spiritually-integrated approach, I offer Christian counseling that honors your values, beliefs, and emotional needs. You don’t need to have all the answers to begin therapy—you just need to be willing to take the first step. I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

Specialities
As a counseling intern, I work under supervision to provide individual therapy in both in-person and online settings. I am trained in trauma-informed care and prioritize building safety, trust, and relational connection in every session. While I welcome clients from all walks of life, I feel particularly drawn to those who are navigating life transitions, such as career changes, grief and loss, family restructuring, or shifting personal identities.
Many of the clients I work with describe feeling:
Stuck or uncertain about their direction in life
Overwhelmed by the demands of others and disconnected from their own voice
Burnt out from trying to meet everyone’s expectations
Struggling to set boundaries or communicate their needs
Burdened by self-doubt, guilt, or shame
I’m especially passionate about helping those who are:
Working through the impact of childhood trauma or insecure attachments
Learning to set healthy emotional boundaries
Managing grief, loss, or spiritual confusion
Seeking counseling from a Christian perspective
Looking to build deeper self-compassion and emotional awareness
Rebuilding identity after significant life change or adversity
My work integrates a relational, person-centered approach with techniques grounded in emotional regulation, mindfulness, and insight development. I place a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, using empathy and attunement as tools to build safety, trust, and honest connection.
Clients can work with me through online counseling from anywhere in Delaware or meet with me in person in our Wilmington office, depending on your preferences and needs.
Our Work Together
Our work together will be a collaborative journey, grounded in your story, your values, and your pace. I will help you explore your thoughts, emotions, and life patterns with curiosity—not judgment—so we can begin to uncover what’s keeping you stuck and what’s ready for healing.
You can expect our sessions to be a space where you feel:
Seen and heard—not just for what you’re struggling with, but for who you truly are
Safe to express yourself, whether you’re feeling anxious, angry, ashamed, or unsure
Free to explore your past and present experiences without fear of rejection or pressure
Supported and empowered as you work through difficult emotions and make meaningful changes
Together, we will clarify your goals for therapy and develop tools that help you manage the emotional and relational challenges in your life. Some of the outcomes you may experience from our work include:
Improved emotional regulation and coping skills
A deeper understanding of your triggers and thought patterns
Healthier, more fulfilling relationships
A clearer connection to your spiritual and personal values
Stronger boundaries and decision-making confidence
Increased self-compassion and inner peace
Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you remember who you are, uncover your strength, and create a life that reflects your truth. Whether you’re seeking online therapy for convenience or in-person counseling for connection, I am here to support you every step of the way.
If you’re feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin, know this: healing starts with one step—and you don’t have to take it alone. As a counseling intern, I’m honored to walk with you in a space of care, curiosity, and courage. Let’s begin the journey together.
